It is the time of the Knights Templar, the Black Plague and the Inquisition when many were tortured and burned at the stake because of their religious beliefs. Bizarre little game that I played as a child. Navigating scenes felt clunky, and the puzzles were a bit on the obscure side iirc. The attract mode movie that would play if you idled too long on the main menu was definitely trying to make the game feel very epic. Meh.
