This kind of hack is right up my alley. I love Pokemon, and want to use more and more Pokemon I've never used before, and this was a great way to do so! Unova's Pokedex translates amazingly well to Kanto (obviously, a lot of Unova's Pokemon are Kanto-inspired, if not just copies), and FireRed is a really quick game to just blast through. Plus, the Sevii Islands are implemented into the main game so you weave through it a couple times, and are able to catch the Pokemon from Kalos as well. I can see myself making multiple return visits to this game just to try out more Pokemon.

There are also some notable changes to the adventure in this hack. The difficulty is a bit higher - not intense, but enough to be a bit of a clencher at times, and it also encourages exploration of the Sevii Islands. Several bosses are changed; for example, Misty's gym is changed from Water type to Ice type. I'm not sure if most of these type changes were exactly necessary, but it's a change of pace from the all-too-familiar Kanto circuit.

One problem I have with this hack is one I have with FireRed/LeafGreen in general that definitely was not fixed here: the lack of clear direction in the Sevii Islands. According to the creator's guide of this hack, they intend for the player to return to the Sevii Islands after the seventh gym, but there's no clear time of when you're supposed to leave again, you just kind of have to figure "well, I guess I did everything" and leave. The last visit after the Elite Four, I frankly just stopped playing it because I wasn't sure where I was supposed to go after a certain point, and figured I had done enough anyway. Again, this is less of a problem with this hack and rather the game it's a hack of, and I was also fast forwarding most of the time so I might have missed vital information, but still. This was a problem anytime I've attempted the Sevii Islands in a normal playthrough, and frankly internet guides are a bit unclear on the order of operations as well.

Anyway, what this hack promises is pretty much what you get. Unova's Pokemon in Kanto (plus Kalos's in the Sevii Islands), plus some modernizations to the game. If you just want to use more Unova/Kalos Pokemon, this is a recommended way to do so.
