Reverie is an action adventure game set on a fictional island in New Zealand, inspired by the legend of Maui and the Giant Fish where the demigod himself fishes up the North Island with a powerful fishhook.

What a charming game. Plays a bit like The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past but looks a little bit like Earthbound. In 2023, much like most years prior, I tended to go from a big, lengthy game to shorter games in between, and Reverie was one of those more digestible games that fell between me playing Yakuza 0 and BioShock Infinite. Perfect experience for me.
A cute little Zelda-like. The game has some puzzles that will make you scratch your head for a while.
