"A survival-horror game inspired by Resident Evil 1, Dark Souls, and Eternal Darkness." "Shrouded in Sanity is an isometric survival horror action game, with minimal rpg elements and an open world approach. Immersion is the focus here, avoiding non diegetic sounds and music. Heavily inspired by the souls series of games, but focusing much more on survival and horror."

Kind of cool, but it just feels like shit.

I don't even remember this one being picked up by Iron Pineapple.
Dark creepy isometric game clearly inspired by the souls games, as well as castlevania and other horror titles.
it was incredibly ambitions, especially now that the base version of this game is free on steam. If you like these types of games, please give it a try!

Shrouded in Sanity is a lot more ambitious than what initial appearances might suggest, although I personally felt that mechanics such as parrying are kind of redundant when kiting is so effective.
However, I must admit I'm biased because I really like how authentic the game feels. I believe that it takes a lot of confidence to make a game with white haired, katana wielding, wizard, gunslinger knights without making dumb ironic jokes at one's expense.
I wouldn't know exactly whom to recommend this game to, but I certainly enjoyed it myself and I'll probably play the rest of the series in the future.

Ein insgesamt solides Spiel mit einem gut ausgeführten düsteren Stil. Die Handlung hinterlässt zwar keinen starken Eindruck, setzt aber dafür die richtige Stimmung.
