It's funny when a game comes out on both the PS2 and PSP and it's VERY obvious which one it was made for when you play it

Savour the 60fps on the menus, as you will not get that in-battle.
It's a pretty clunky, restrictive FG compared to some other games of the same time, but nonetheless its good goof fun.
Stan Death the kid.

Ablublublé. Eu amo o anime, mas esse jogo é porco

imagine making a clunky ass game in fucking 2009

Having played the PSP version in the past, I played the PS2 adventure mode through and boy what a mixed bag. The split between Meister and Weapon attacks, as well as having a super meter that requires each, reflects the series incredibly, the 3D models are well handled and fun to watch, and the combat is pretty easy to pick up.

However the Adventure mode is SO repetitive. This was during the time we still hadn't figured out fighting game stories, so it's mostly beat for beat of the show, with a couple extra fights thrown in, and offers very little variety. The AI is also entirely incompetent, making the mode a bit of a slog.

Overall a really interesting take on the franchise that didn't disappoint, it's just definitely for fans more than a general audience.
