The DS version of this game, ironically given the game's focus on dreams, is a snoozefest. Swipe left to make your character lackadaisically traipse left! Swipe right to do the same, but inverse! Oh, and there's a time limit. And you have to shout into the DS' microphone to stop a jellyfish attacking your character in their sleep and waking them up.

It's boring, it's obtuse, it's slow as molasses, and the occasional gameplay shakeup does NOT do enough to make it feel fresh.

The main console version of Creature From the Krusty Krab was a bit of an underwhelming step down from Heavy Iron's stuff but the DS version handled by WayForward is even worse as the game puts all of the focus on forced touch screen controls and terrible microphone stuff.

To put it lightly: it's not fun in the slightest. A typical example of DS shovelware to say the least.

this game is such a childhood fever dream

This game on the DS is the equivalent of an abusive relationship: broken and there are lot of scratches.

The controls leave a lot to be desired lmao. You simply swipe left or right to move and tap to stop.
