A fighting game featuring giant mechs from various anime – although to my uncultured mind, this is a Megazord fighting game. In the story mode, each “episode” has some story before each fight, which is a nice touch.

Unfortunately, this is another dull beat-’em-up. The large mechs don’t really move like large objects, more like people moving in slow motion. The really poor levels also don’t make them come across as large machines, either, so the impact of fighting with giant mechs is just completely lost. The fighting itself is very generic as well, with a few moves and not much else. There is a hover mechanic, but it doesn’t amount to much.

This just seems like it was quickly put together to cash in on the various anime shows included in it.

I can't say it's in the top five worst N64 fighting games, but that's just because of the key-jangling "I know what that is" appeal of SRW in general. This is a game that squeezes that appeal for everything it's worth, and I don't think it's worth an afternoon going back to check this game out. The mechs look nice, and the occasional cut-ins of the pilots faces was neat. Hearing older consoles try to recreate classic mecha themes is one of my favorite parts of the series and they sure did recreate G Gundam music on the N64 soundchip. This game isn't nearly as bad as something like Ultimate Battle 22, but it is an unessential part of the series.

The game that's considered one of the worst N64 fighting game and the worst selling and rated Super Robot game ever.
I think visually the game is very charming I love the mech designs (I played G Gundam ofc Domon Kasshu my beloved) and gameplay while I found it stupidly fun it's not that good it's just silly.
The game is ofc untranslated so I don't really care for the story but the final boss was challenging and awesome, kicked my ass a couple of times and was so happy when I demolished her.
I will definitely yell at my friends to give this game a try and hopefully play with some of em so I can kick their asses too :D
