Tekken 5:Dark Resurrection but with online, that’s it. Did you really think I wouldn’t notice the survival and practice mode? This game should’ve been Called Tekken 5 2:Dark Resurrection Online + Survival & Practice, I’m sure Nintendo would’ve loved that one on Wii U.

Yeah it’s the exact same game as the PS3 version of Dark Resurrection, I’m not really sure but in some region it seems to have been released as a standalone release but also as a DLC to Dark Resurrection so whoever bought it as a DLC and not as a full standalone game got fucked over, but yeah this is some pretty damn weird business practices, type of thing you won’t really see nowadays but people wouldn’t call this greed because it’s from 2006, if Tekken 8 made online as a DLC people would lose their shit. But I’m getting side tracked, there isn’t much else to say, just like the previous version it’s a great fighting game but a disappointing Console Tekken due to the lack of what made the original version on PS2 standout is gone and pretty much just act as a pick up and play version of Tekken 5 literally like an arcade game.

Honestly , Tekken 5 and Tag tournament 2 is the best we have gotten as something close to near perfection when it comes to fighting games but my main problem with tekken 5 in particular is something about blocking.

The blocking in tekken 5 in particular just felt off putting to me it’s not that I’ve had bad pads or anything it’s just I remember and I still do test this that between combos or just layups spamming back to block or even holding it just doesn’t work in well.
I have never had this issue in any tekken game ever, which is why it is a bit concerning. The hit box is just a bit off too but you can still get over that fact by the spectacular spacing this game provides. All in all a great game with just one major gripe which possibly could just be a personal issue but it just leaves a bit of a sore taste in my mouth.
