An expanded game of Tekken 6

Tekken 6: Bloodline Rebellion is an update to Tekken 6. It features new characters, stages, items and customization options. It also gives the game a balance update from characters and items. It was released to Japanese arcades on December 18, 2008 and the console version of Tekken 6 is based on this arcade version. This new version features two new characters: Alisa Bosconovitch, an android with jet wings and spinning limbs who was built in the image of Dr. Bosconovitch's deceased daughter, and Lars Alexandersson, an unknown descendant of Heihachi Mishima and leader of a rebellious Tekken Force faction fighting Jin's tyranny. A number of new items and customization options are featured in this expansion. The game also features all-new CG character art, just as there was a change in art from Tekken 5 to Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection. Upgrade kits are also available for owners of current Tekken 6 machines.

Tekken 6 brings some good shit to the table: solid gameplay, amazing stages, a huge roster, and some of the best tracks on the series. The customization options and online also took it's ultimate form on this entry. However, i hate some decisions on this game.

Jin's character arc took a awful turn because Harada had for years this terrible idea to turn him into a villain and unfourtunately he put it in this game. Like, Jin went from denying the Mishima curse and honor his deceased mother to suddenly going 'World War 3, i'm gonna do the worst thing someone did on this franchise' for some vague and stupid 'stop Azazel' bullshit. It's like the people behind the franchise forgot who Jin was and what he stood for just to make a cool 'edgy protagonist' for a 13 year old to use as his profile picture. And it's not just Jin—they messed up a bunch of character's endings too.

The Arcade mode? Some of the worst in the whole series. Tekken 6 also takes the trophy for the worst bosses of the entire franchise, Azazel and Nancy are legit some shit i'd expect from MUGEN and not a franchise that sold millions. No one likes to fight gigantic boring atrocities like those bosses.

The Scenario Campaign even being simple is pretty cool though. Even disliking the story a lot and really not being a fan of Lars and Alisa, i had a great time playing in it back in the Xbox 360 days. It's a mode that adds a lot of replayability to the game and a decent Tekken Force evolution. In the end Tekken 6 is not a bad game but it's definitely one of my least favorite Tekken's taking in consideration the few flaws of the game are huge.

I've played this game so much. I played every single version of it: the vanilla arcade, this update, the psp version, the xbox360 version, and a few days ago I found a ps3 copy and decided to start playing it again to try to get the platinum trophy.

This was the Tekken game in which I actually learned how to play and a ton of my playtime was probably in training and ghost battle practicing with every character.

It's hard for me to be objective with this game. I played a lot of versus (and team battle! me and my friends favorite mode) with my friends, online and even at my local arcade (that's still alive to this day).

I don't think this Tekken is the best one or a near perfect game. If I was being objective I would give it 4 stars.

The bad:
-There's not much to do in the game apart from the scenario campaign and versus mode.
-The story is the worst in the series and the campaign is repetitive (I still like it though and it adds a lot of play time and replayability).
-There were big changes in the gameplay, courtesy of the bound system, that revamped the juggle combos of previous entries... I was not a big fan of this change back then and nowadays I'm glad that it got tweaked into the much better screw in Tekken 7.
-It takes a while to get into matches, load times are long-ish and even the main menu takes time to fully load. Still... it's faster than Tekken 7 lol, I was surprised when I replayed this game, expecting waaay longer load times than I got.
-The online sucks, but I guess that's typical for a fighting game of that era
-You can only increase your rank past 1st dan online, making ghost battle way less fun than Tekken 5.
-Azazel is the worst final boss of the series.
-Evil Jin was a mistake.

The good:
-Huge character roster with great variety
-The new character additions are mostly great... except for maybe Lars...
-Great graphics, it looks great in motion and it's a big step up from it's predecessor.
-Even if I don't like the combo system, the gameplay is great as always... it's Tekken
-Great character customization, that is limited compared to tag2 or 7, but you can create way better looking combinations.
-You can voice chat during an online match, which works as well as you would assume but it's hilarious.
-Scenario campaign is not that bad. It's an evolution of the Tekken Force concept. Sure the story is awful but I had fun completing the mode. It would have been perfect if it included a couch co-op option.
-I like the secrets of this game, like the "hidden" stage, the hidden customization items, the roulette that unlocks even more hidden customization items (I only ever got the black rage effect) and the golden final boss that gives you 2 million gold. In my second ps3 arcade run I got it to appear and saw it in game for the first time after playing the game for thousands of hours in other platforms.
-It has the team battle mode! (Why did they cut it in 7...).
-The ost is amazing as always, the highlights being electric fountain and fallen colony.
-It includes the sheep stage.

Overall, I think there are lot's of reasons to come back to this game. It's a classic that is still fun to replay either solo (replaying the campaign or beating up cpus) or with friends (preferably offline).

Interesting campaign concept, solid Tekken experience.

Alright, PS3 Era Tekken now! Let's do it.

So Tekken 6 has what I believe to be, the best graphics out of all the Tekken games by far. The FPS is so smooth it feels like you're playing it on the PS5. However, on the PS3 at least there's one big problem.

The game takes forever to fucking load. Takes like 2 minutes for a match to load which is really annoying.

Scenario Campaign is a lot of fun. I love the way it's made but it's a hard son of a bitch. Especially Nightmare Train!

Azazel is the hardest boss ever. And an absolute cheat with his auto-armor bullshit. Such a fucking pain in the ass to fight.

Nancy? Well, it took me 4 years to beat it but when I did, so satisfying! lol

As for Jin turning evil, eh. I'm ok with it but the twist is a bit odd. He started World War III just to lure out Azazel? Fucking nut. Lars is ok as the main protagonist. So yeah.

This game has the best customization by the way out of all the games. It's so goddamn expensive but there's so much it's epic. Why they toned it down in Tekken 7 I don't know.

But yeah, Tekken 6 has a few problems but I loved it. Best graphics, great story mode and a lot of fun.

Is it the best Tekken game? Graphics-wise yes. But the rest? Definitely not. But it is one of the best in my opinion. Glad I got the Limited Edition too. Those 3P costumes for Jin and Kazuya are sick!

(P.S. Why does Kazuya's face remind me of Christopher Lee in this game? What's up with that? Not complaining though. Sir Christopher was badass.)
