Tekken Card Challenge is an okay-ish turn-based, dungeon crawling, rock paper scissors type game, yeah I know that’s a lot to take in.
The goal of the game is fairly simple, you walk in an automatically generated map, collect attack cards which you’ll use in battles, defeating enemies with said cards and the way the combat work is interesting but honestly interesting does not mean good.
You pretty much have 4 card pre selected with different damage number on it, if the enemy have a higher number than yours then he will attack you with said numbers and the same works the other way around if you have a higher number, though it’s not that easy to get a higher number because the gimmick to selection a card is that the window to select a card is very small, the selection outline just scrolls on all 4 cards really fast over and over similar to how some virtual pachinko machine works and you just have to pray you pressed the button at the right time or else you’ll just end up with a crappy number.

It’s honestly not a bad game it’s just not very fun, it’s pretty slow and the time limit in the solo mode is annoying because if you don’t get to the next floor in time you just die and the timer is very short, if anyone is willing to get in the Tekken Card rabbithole you’re welcome because I’m not going any deeper.
