The Voidness is a Sci-fi psychological horror game where it takes place inside the void where it's filled with just gloom - the only way to see is by scanning the environment with your range finder device, however you are not alone. Don't breathe ... as they are listening.. and watching.

this was really creative
Lidar horror games are a niche style in a niche genre (horroslop). While an interesting concept, it does get old within about 30 minutes. Its design is inherently laborious and needs variety to stretch it to full length game. Voidness does spice it up by doing 'visible' sections and different environments other than "spooky cave". Ultimately it doesn't hold my attention long enough and I think its because the lack of variety in gameplay/environments. Watching the rest on youtube was a pleasant surprise. The ending, while not exactly a twist, does evoke some despair/dread.
