Excellent writing and a believable world with intriguing lore and just enough gameplay to keep everything fresh for the amount of story that they were aiming to tell, with enough roots and seeds to think beyond. It was a little heavy handed at times, but felt real in terms of it's weight of grief when it's especially pronounced. The contracts as a meta mechanic gave a real link as a symbol between tools of oppression in the story as it does in our world, and the juxtaposition of concepts that applaud or detract Oni from their violence and mission for justice felt weightier than a lot of similar games I've played. I hope to see more from this universe or at least these writers.

And it's got a little opossum village themed around bones! Loved them. And the individualistic speaking styles of the characters along with broader accents portrayed
