Welcome to a mysterious world, a world made up of strange lands, hazardous labyrinths and many mysteries. Who created this world? And why? A wandering adventurer by the name of Sword has been summoned to find the answers. From RPG legends 'Climax' comes Time Stalkers, a refreshingly unconventional RPG. Featuring randomly generated dungeons, sub quests and a host of VM mini games.

I rented this game as a kid, desperate for some kind of new RPG to play. It's a very poorly polished game for 1999. The visuals are very basic with character models being made out of primitive shapes that noticeably clip through each other. One of the things that really jumped out at me was how bad the movement was. Any time you bumped into a sign to read it your character would begin floating slightly in one direction... and even worse was when you would descend stairs. Your character's speed would cause them to fly off the top of the staircase and then slowly descend to the floor.

Pokemones con dungeons procedurales y furros.
Aqui desarrolle lo que seria 15 años despues mi personalidad.

Such a dumb story but in a good way. Love the character and creature designs and the battle mechanics

Look, this game is pretty jank.
But it’s fun jank.
Time Stalkers features a mashup of characters from other Climax Entertainment properties.
Landstalker, Ladystalker, etc. those are the only two games I recall. The characters all come from Sega Genesis games if memory serves.
This game is barely worth owning.
Despite that, I absolutely love/hated this game. It was the second Dreamcast game I had besides Sonic Adventure, so I played it.
I like a lot of what it offered. Catching monsters in dungeons to help you out, a crazy nonsensical story that was inadvertently entertaining.
The dialog is sparse and terse. Which is probably a blessing, imo.
But I have a certain fondness for this game.
