I don't have much experience with RPGs (the only non-mario ones I've played as of this writing are tomato adventure, sonic chronicles and miitopia), but I think this one was pretty decent

the sprites look nice, the music is rather catchy, the story is pretty good and feels like an episode of the show, and the battle system has a pretty interesting friendship mechanic. not only that, but the characters exclusive to this game are also criminally underrated IMO

it does have a few problems though. for instance, there's not a lot of variety in locations since the game mostly takes place on an island, which also makes it a bit easy to get lost (not helped by the lack of a map). the voice clips during battle also get rather tiresome after a while, but they can be turned off.

overall though, I'd still recommend giving this a shot, especially if you're a tokyo mew mew fan
