TM2 Canyon kicks off the Maniaplanet era of Trackmania with a new environment. Canyon is really cool and fun in theory. Being as understeery as Stadium, or maybe moreso, and having a very of the time drift for fast cornering makes the car very fun to control. Shame that there are way too many stretched multilap tracks here. 5 Laps is way too much for a game like this. Just not fun. And then later on the roads become so narrow its - again - just not fun to corner anymore. Shame, but still a cool one.

An entry in the Trackmania series that doesn't quite measure up. The canyon environment looks nice and the drifty handling is a nice change of pace from the handling of Stadium. This much is true. However, end of the day, if you're playing Trackmania you want it to handle like Stadium, and you want that classic streamlined Stadium look. The Canyon aesthetic , while pretty, causes a lot of custom courses to be cluttered, making it harder to figure out where you're supposed to go. Not ideal.

Driving games are not my thing, but i love this one particular game for one reason and one reason only, Perfecting my map times, its so satisfying to shave those seconds off

A new life for the Trackmania franchise. Not really a big fan of how they bundled all the titles inside Maniaplanet, but the game was fun nonetheless.
