I'm positive that Last Note could have been great if it had been a fully fleshed out arc.
it's actually a good addition to Umineko and a wonderful send off onto what's next.
Last Note of the Golden Witch is appropriately titled, it's really Umineko's own Saikoroshi-hen and that's good.

No opinion on Our Confession. I don't really like Umineko's culprit and this didn't sway my opinion any better or worse.
Last Note was good in concept, but I would have been much happier had it been a more fleshed out story, and Piece a more fleshed out character. Higurashi has some pretty lengthy side arcs, so I don't see why Umineko couldn't have gotten one too, given that Ryuukishi is an indie creator and can do whatever he wants.
VNDB says there are other arcs besides these two that are supposed to be in Saku, so I hope they will be translated eventually.
