probably one of the only few things id say warrants the term immersive. everything about this game just keeps me on edge and hearing weird ass sounds in oppressive darkness scrambling to wonder where the fuck youre going is a riveting feeling.
very specific thing but i love how it makes the mundane scary, usually in run and hide type horror games you see a scary ass monster walking around, which is spooky, while this just straight up has a dude with a bat and his jingling keys as a cue to get the fuck out of there as he just wanders around wanting to bash your skull in. its such an uncanny feeling, with other games you can disconnect from the monsters as theyre obviously outlandish, but seeing something so human do the same is a very creepy feeling to me that i wish more games capitalized on with this format.
overall the games good, if you played things like amnesia you should know what to expect, but i personally think this succeeds more as a cold hard horror game
