Owned it on the Wii, never finished it. Got it on pc, never finished it. I decided to finally push though and beat it. Solid game, visual are nice, and the ost is one of the best I’ve ever heard. My major problem with the game is that each level is at least an hour long, there no save points or stopping, you have to commit to playing the entire level for the full hour while on a semi-strict timer. Overall it’s very solid and I have fond memories of it on the Wii
This should have been my kinda shit. I love games about restoring life/colour to place, but it's far too repetitive to go on for any serious length of time. My brain is wired in a way that I have to wrestle with it to stop myself scraping every inch of a level to get 100%. This thing exacerbates that to the max, basically turning it into work. No thank you.
Before Splatoon, there was de Blob, and before that, there was another game about coloring I don't know. De Blob is one of those no thoughts head empty kind of games where you let the flow of it take you along as you paint the city in all kinds of colors and bring life back to it. I enjoyed my time with it but for completionists, I think they should pass on it, it takes hours just to do everything and the game doesn't do a good job of showing you what things you missed. It's more of a hassle to get 100% than it is fun.
