the mick gordon ost goes so fucking hard its unreal. i absolutely love watching people play this game at a high level because its absolute madness. still havent played it myself but i just really wanted to spread the word about the music :3

Can we please have a sequel? Like please?

I've played fighting games casually, but I never got deep into one until playing KI 2013. The care that's taken to teach players the fundamentals of fighting games, the easiness of making big splashy combos, and the roster diversity were eye-opening. KI changed how I look at the entire fighting genre and made a fan out of someone who had previously sworn it off.

Its got the barberter in it

i refuse to be anything but a casual in this game, ever

It doesn't quite reach the levels of greatness of the original Killer Instinct game but it's a very solid and 'flashy' fighting game catering to both advanced and casual players with the combo assistance mode.

Graphics and effects during fights are very good, performance in terms of fps is solid and smooth and the soundtrack has some highlights. New roster has highs and lows but overall there is a decent selection of old and new fighters.

This game makes my brain light up all the fun colors

The one eighth-gen launch game (or I guess just PS4/Xbox One since the whole "numbered generation" thing is so blurred these days) that I still enjoy. A genuinely great (and rather underrated) fighting game that just oozes style.

this game was the reason why i bought an Xbox One over a PS4 at launch, and i don't regret a thing.

This is not only a competent reboot, but it far exceeds the source material.
This is so much better than the original Killer Instinct that it basically wipes it from existence.
I loved OG Killer Instinct, but this? This is a masterpiece of Killer Grooves.

It's fun, I only played it because I liked the idea of seeing the Arbiter fighting against Rash from Battletoads lol

I got really into playing this online and trying to be good at it. One of the first fighters to ever make me do that. The characters are fun and unique and of course all the combo systems are pretty cool.
Token native american tomahawk guy is there though. Sorry.

Killer Instinct (2013) boldly asks the question 'What if modern Mortal Kombat didn't suck ass?'

The art and design? Peak.
The music? Peak.
The netcode? Peak.
The roster? Peak.

The story?... Well let's just say it has never been the selling point.

But being a microsoft game does come with some annoying details that cut this amazing game short of 5 stars. Am I nit picking? absolutely yes, but I expect perfection from a Killer Instinct game.

I've played both the Xbox and the PC version, currently on the latter one and everything holds true.

Way ahead of its time for when it released. If you read into the development history, Microsoft had a team that was so insanely passionate and dedicated to what they were making that it far surpassed fighting game stans and it was shat on upon launch which turned a lot of people off. It was secretly a great game, and over time and updates, it grew increasingly insane and powerful.

It's so powerful, it barely runs on the Xbox One's it was distributed on originally. It's a title that was crafted for Project Scorpio. The only thing bogging this game down was the dependence on DLC to continue content.

Bom demais, um dos meus jogos de luta favorito.

Has the most "hype moments per round" ratio out of any fighting game I can think of... the announcer probably helps a lot.

This games sound effects (primarily from the announcer) live in my head rent free.

Rating: 9.5/10 - Amazing

My favorite fighting game of the past decade.

Beautiful reboot of a dormant franchise. This is how you do it.

Um jogo com muito potencial desperdiçado.

Um dos jogos de luta com mecânica mais inovadora de todos. Legal demais

Very fun combo central fighting game.
Banger soundtrack.

I don't know why I was so mean-spirited with the last "review" I wrote for KI, I remember having fun with the game. So, idk.
