Great but whoever thought the marty spiders were a good idea needs to go climb everest and never return

Nice little short experience with some decent imagery, even if it does feel a bit too blunt with how it presents itself.
Definitely a worthwhile playthrough for Lisa fans! It adds great context to the whole series

Game development tip: Add some annoying difficult sections where you have to dodge enemies or else you get sent to the start of the room in a game engine with no business having any sort of precision movement for a fast and easy way to make me hate you forever

The atmosphere is great and being able to be so genuinely grimy and despicable while having an artstyle this simple is a serious feat. The music is droning, harsh and wholly suited to the subject matter and the visual metaphors are skin-crawling, even if they're laid on a bit thick. It's a game that wholly enhances it's successors by lending context to the main character's past abuse. Booting up Lisa The Painful and seeing that title screen is a real gut punch now; serving as a depressing epilogue to a character you already knew wasn't going to get a happy ending, and whose ghost will haunt the rest of the series right the way through to the end.

I just wish I didn't have to dodge abusive-dad-spiders to experience it. Would've been a real ace experience if played like a straight Yume Nikki clone.

Pretty solid title considering you can only walk, talk, and pick up and "use" things from an inventory. The most intense things get is dodging some spiders. The soundtrack is great though.

I did play this before The Painful, so I'll have context from it going in.

It's a pretty nothing "game" tbh. I got both endings without a guide in like an hour. Would be a 2/5, but it gets an extra half star for the music.

Knowing what happens to Lisa thanks to Lisa: The Painful it's heartbreaking. She's been damaged beyond repair and I usually condemn stories with poorly handled mental health and suicide, but here it's handled with subtlety, showing no graphic depictions of it (a hard rule when you talk about suicide in a work of fiction) and it shows how someone can be pushed to it when there's no escape posible or, at least, none that the person can see for themselves.

Interesting to play this if you played Lisa the Painful first. It is pretty good, but not like Lisa the Painful.

played this to get into the series still haven't played Lisa the painful

There's really not much to say about this one. It's a short, interesting little experience that connects to the more well known Lisa: The Painful in some vague ways. It's got some interesting imagery and a bizarre soundscape. If you've played Lisa: The Painful, it's an interesting dive into the series' beginnings. I'm not gonna be too harsh on it or anything because it's really just a brief but neat experience so it did well on that front.

Lo jugué después de The Painful esperando algo similar pero al final es algo más Yume Nikki, pero igual el juego me pareció decente.

it's kinda cool? its really short. i read in an interview that austin took what he called "the Metal Gear approach" with this game, where the new ps4 game still connects with the first NES game. and i do think its cool how this game links itself to the painful. you get some insight into the armstrong family and it plays a lot like yume nikki which is cool

If you thought yume niki had no point and was dumb this is the game for you (not that I agree with you)

No voy a mentir, si algunas cosas de este juego
se hubieran llevado a algo mas grande
a lo mejor y hasta me gustaba mas que Yume Nikki
pero como quedo esta decente.

Pretty barebones as a rpgmaker game, but still interesting. It's "sequel" is amazing though

Me las arregle para glitchear la parte final, haciendo que no fuera posible ver el final

Yume Nikki but with worse gameplay

It's certainly the first LISA game. An interesting dive into Lisa's character.

TOMORROW!!!

I feel like this game gets overshadowed by the other Lisa games since it isn’t in that new Lisa collection and has never been re-released and that’s a damn shame because this is a really tough gut punch of a game that has allot of amazing metaphorical world building
Game play wise there’s not much to write home about but if your playing this it’s for the story
I’d say for sure play it if your a fan of the other games and haven’t played this one yet

A skuzzy, surrealist trek through the grimy primordial hellscape of traumatic memory. Bizarre, unrelenting, repellant... to the point where I kinda wish I could give this a higher score, to be honest.

But those spider puzzles, man... ooooof. Borderline game-breaking stuff.

A Yume Nikki style game that explores the psyche of a young girl traumatized by her abusive father.

You wander around collecting items to unlock new ways to progress. It has some extremely basic puzzles to move forward too.

The big thing here is getting to understand the titular character and her pain. It's expressed pretty clearly through the various grotesque imagery found throughout the game and it builds as you progress.

Tragically, this leads to Lisa realizing that every facet of her mind and memories have been corrupted by her father and there's no way to escape it. No way except one. Which leads to the next game Lisa: The Painful...

Lisa the first
Watch a playthrough
Fuck the spiders
Good because of the continuing story
On it's own it's alright

Lisa: THE FIRST, Lisa: The painful oyununun öncülü olarak çıkan 2003'de yapılan ama 2012 de yayınlanan bir RPG Maker oyunu. Sürreal ortamlar, bazı saçma bölüm tasarımları can sıksada, baya kısa bir oyun. Anlatmaya çalıştığı şey ise büyük ihtimalle Lisa isimli karakterimizin intihar etmeye doğru giden sürecinde babasından yediği zorbalık, istismar gibi konularda Lisa'nın kendi zihninin keşfine bize çıkarıyor. Ortamlar başarılı, bazı yerler can sıkıcı olmasına rağmen, olmuş bir oyun.

I know nothing about Lisa: the Painful. According to what people seem to tell me, it's like The Road but with fart jokes (?) Regardless, I come from the angle of wanting to check out every Yume Nikki fan game, there's a large wealth of them that fly underneath the radar, my favorite being Neftelia 1&2. I wasn't able to play this, as its an RPGM2003 game, which the sound doesn't work for Linux users. Watching someone else play it, I was compelled by the story of abuse. Before I could pull myself away, I was already in the middle of it.

Games that touch on this specific kind of trauma are never easy for me, and I always worry if it's a form of self harm to even let my mind recede back into that kind of place. With Lisa, it really isn't holding back with the disturbing imagery at all. It's not just a mediocre game; a real feeling pierced through me. It has all of the abstract and expressionistic treatments of the topic you'd expect. But also, its a mediocre game because it suffers from miserable level design, apparently.

To me the emotions the game made me feel just happen to strike so deep that I had to say something about how good it is in just that way. I don't really know if I'm going to play the sequel game, but I'm happy I didn't listen to all of the people who told me to skip this. On the other hand, this game will reopen wounds. It took me half a day to emotionally bounce back.

Cara, honestamente eu gostei bastante apesar de ter sido filtrado e ver a partir de uma parte no youtube, honestamente o jogo tem uma estética e uma atmosfera que para mim são muito boas.
