For a fairly simple and quick point-and-click, and one that doesn't aim to be especially subversive, it's hard to beat Day of the Hamster. I'm not super into the genre, but I found the general charm of this one to carry the short runtime pretty easily - especially since any obtuse solutions are helped by the game's nice layered hint system.

Definitely made me want to boot up Pajama Sam though.
