It has a phenomenal soundtrack, stellar gameplay, and addictive score mechanics baked together in a DOOM setting.

Not bad if you get it on sale, but it is on the Xbox Game Pass.

Doom-like rhythm game with a good concept and fun gameplay

Doom meets rhythm.

Not overly a fan of metal music but gave it a go, the campaign is rather short and would have liked more distinct boss fights and designs - but was okay.

Worked really well incorporating a shooter into a rhythm based game, would have liked more tracks to choose from without paying for DLC packs - but that’s maybe just my choice and preference of music.

DOOM if it was cool. Mainly because it has a fantastic idea for itself which is the combination of FPS and rhythm game. This makes the gameplay much more engaging and satisfying despite the repetitiveness. Fortunately, the developers knew that with their relatively limited resources (as seen in the simple story and its cheap presentation), they shouldn't drag the game out. Its short length is an advantage for me. The same goes for the length of the levels themselves, which are also not dragged out and are perfect for single sessions. At the same time, it's still a game that can draw you in for a bit longer, because this formula is really enjoyable. Of course, this wouldn't be possible without the great soundtrack. A perfect fusion of music and gameplay. The pace is easily felt.

All in all, absolutely one of my most favorite FPS. Even with some limitations, it manages to entertain from start to finish. It was not an easy concept to execute at all, and yet it succeeded. Plus, after the credits, I thought that I want more.

Great game with amazing music and a playtime that doesn't overstay its welcome. Slaying Demons left and right is as satisfying as ever, especially when staying in rhythm to head-banging vocal tracks.
Might go for 100% someday.

Punchy and chaotic gunplay, a poetically thumping soundtrack, and the crisp and precise sound direction build a solid package of fun even if it lacks length and creativity around some of its sharp corners. It’s absolutely worth a run through and a gander at how well you can carry your combative tune. Join me in praying to the Hell Below for a sequel that really shows what this studio can accomplish.

DOOM but you shoot, dash, hit, and reload at the music's tempo. This is already a selling point for me, but like, i'm a metalcore fan and this soundtrack's like the highlight for me? iT'S GOT THE VOCALISTS FOR TRIVIUM, SYSTEM OF A DOWN, JINJER, LACUNA COIL, LAMB OF GOD, LORNA SHORE, AND SEVERAL MORE IN IT??? IT'S KINDA NUTS??????

Metal Hellsinger is a game I don't have much to add on really. The rhythm FPS combat is decent fun with the variety of weapons with their own moves/tempos to adjust to, and the metal soundtrack is excellent, as it should be for a rhythm focused game.

TAAARARARA TARARA RARARA TARARARARAAARA

very fun fps rhythm game, sometimes the enemies can be difficult to find but i'm also terrible at fps games so it could just be me, the soundtrack is also amazing

Çok güzel ritim tutmalı first person shooter oyunu.

Metal: Hellsinger is a total blast, especially if you're into metal music and love fast-paced shooters. But the campaign kinda short, and you might notice some repetitive bits like boss design and boss fight .

I won this game through SteamGifts.
I played it for Pay or Play 2nd Cycle of 2024 and it was picked for me by Escollo.

Metal: Hellsinger is a rhythm based FPS game where you need to fire, reload, dodge, murder and mayhem to the beat of the soundtrack. It is really a lovely game, with amazing gameplay and smooth experience even for those of us who suck at rhythm based games.

In the game you play as The Unknown, who has lost her voice to The Judge, and her journey is narrated by this skull, who you can also use as a weapon on your journey. She wants her voice back, and she's going to get it by force. The story was pretty good, I do think there was some things that could have been better, and I feel like the game doesn't shine in this aspect, but it was not bad at all.

Many reviews on steam say that it's basically a really awesome album that comes with a free game attached. That's a pretty accurate statement in my opinion. The soundtrack is absolutely a banger and I really, really, really, REALLY need it to come to spotify. I am still hopeful, even after all this time since release.

I played the game on the easiest difficulty and with the "always on beat" setting, because I remembered playing the demo when it was about to release and having rage quitted it, because I just couldn't do it. It's not you, it's me situation lmao. I can't do rhythm games, but this was absolutely one of those games that I had to experience myself.

Now, I know i've talked about the game already a lot, but let me just say, the final battle with my favorite song from the soundtrack, No Tomorrow (featuring Serj Tankian), was SO GOOD! Like, the song makes it 100x times more amazing and cool. It's just so beautiful. I loved every second of this.

It's definitely a game I'd recommend for anyone who enjoys rhythm based games, and FPS games similar to DOOM. It is absolutely worth every penny it costs.
