5/10, obrzydliwy down fall, totalnie nieprzemyślane decyzje z chuja, meh.

So I'm a say I didn't hate or still don't completely hate Diego or Miguel (or whatever fuckass Mexican name he has) or his family and i like how he calls the zombies "muerto's" that shit was dope AF but like it should just been clementine fr like it's not like they lost they sauce fr every scene with her is amazing except the shitty ending write off like kennys death is retarded i hope they retconned it same as janes but everything else is good but yeah she deserved this game but whatever this game when its not revovled around clementine is just whatever like i dint remember anything except that lil girl getting fucking popped on sum fortnite shit like they had some balls for showing that for and i remember that one scene where you pick one person to get executed but she actually kills the other person like that dope wish the story was good enough to handle that concept but yeah whatever gane 6/10

I think this is the weakest of the series thus far, it simply became far too repetitive and I never meaningfully connected with the hero Javi.

A lot of the scenarios you face are quite similar to those already played in earlier parts of the series. Richmond in particular just felt like a repeat of the community you encountered in Savannah.

There’s a strange overabundance of action oriented quick time events this time round. They seem to be getting more and more frequent in each new game in the series and I would really rather they focus on interesting dialogue instead.

A number of characters and their relationships seemed off in A New Frontier. Despite a compelling arc in the end I felt that Gabe was one of the most annoying characters in all of these games. A lot of his petulance seemed utterly illogical to the point that it took me out of the adventure. Javi’s relationship with his brother David, on which much of the narrative hinges, is quite tedious. The amount of times you have to save David or reconcile with him becomes quickly dull, especially when he is such a naturally unsympathetic character.

It’s one of the recurring themes in the Telltale Walking Dead games but the number of situations where characters are about to die and they start arguing like it’s a soap opera about their petty personal relationships is just maddening. Tripp, the gruff leader of Prescott, on several occasions interrupts our hero during very fraught situations to talk about how much he adores Eleanor. Surely this is not the time or place? Get a hold of yourself man.

I enjoyed myself but it was definitely the first time I had felt keen for an end in sight for this generally fantastic series of games.

joguei o último ep rezando pra acabar logo.

The choices in The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series - A New Frontier are suspenseful, but lack thematic resonance and quality character writing.

A New Frontier fails to capture what made the previous walking dead seasons so fantastic. It introduces a new cast which is largely forgettable and throughout I wished I was playing as Clem, who is reduced to a secondary character in this game. The narrative’s focus on the protagonists family dynamic did not engage me and the writing is very hit and miss. What’s more the gameplay is as unengaging as ever, becoming more egregious at this point after two seasons with minimal gameplay innovations. It’s not all bad though, I really enjoyed Clem’s involvement in this game, particularly with the flashback sequences, and there are some memorable, standout story moments. However, ultimately I found A New Frontier to be a mediocre experience that was likely an unfortunate symptom of Telltale’s poor management culture at the time leading to some poor development decisions.

WHO THE FUCK DID YOUR HAIR

i didnt like playing as javi. sue me.

Pretty cool game for a spinoff

not as good as the past games, but it's fine

I liked Javi as a character, but this game spirals out of control in terms of the writing quality towards the end and only makes me wish I was playing as Clementine again

it's a shame because this one's my favourite in the series visually but my least favourite narratively by a pretty significant margin
