No game has ever had a grip on me like the lead-up to announcements for Smash. I don't think any future Smash title could top Ultimate. I main Puff :)

You can't ask more from this title. All characters from previous entries, all maps, new content, new modes, new mechanics. Everything has been overhauled.
I only wished the adventure mode was more like an adventure beat'em up like Subspace Emmisary. The spirit mode is still a good replacement: collecting spirits, upgrading them amd playing around with them with minigames is pretty fun.

Best Brawler out there, its not my type of fighting games but Great Elements from every Nintendo Game With amazing Soundtrack and Great Maps + the Hype around it was Craaazzyy. RIP Etika

i prefer the wii version w the solo part of the game but i really like the online portion of it

Absolutely one of the best fighting games out there. A really fluid yet balanced character roster and engine, and definitely has the most addictive feeling out of any smash bros game out there. Even if it’s lacking in some categories compared to some older titles, the game’s story mode is still a blast and really fun to play, and there’s tons of other stuff to do

Great party game, just came back from 8-player matches. Ultimate is absolutely not built for this, just in terms of each level’s scope which is why it is so crazy that they either optimised the option or they just realised they could do it so they did. My friends won’t do lives, so on the basic timed settings it’s really difficult to make out who you are and nobody really knows what the Smash Ball is, just changes the map’s lighting for seemingly no reason.

This game is very adequate, but really doesn't stand out on any level other than "wow, look at all the guys they put into it," which really just doesn't do it for this toy. It's Smash with nothing interesting going on outside of characters who objectively completely break the game. Also, the singleplayer content is far inferior to that of Brawl. Also also, they didn't bring back custom specials from 4. Also also also, they got rid of all of the funny windboxes.

Great roster, fun campaign with many modifiers keeping things fresh. Finicky with getting 8p to work often, but at least there's that option, quite rare to get even 4p couch play these days.

It's a fine party game but an aggressively boring competitive one, and I've gotten sick enough of smash's systems by now that I'm glad whenever a platform fighter actually tries to be different.
There is nothing "super" or "ultimate" about hitting a woman.
My high ranking is based a lot in nostalgia. The trailers for this game still make me emotional, and I think it'll be very hard for future Smash titles to top this.
