The 'A' key on my laptop broke while playing this game and I had to spend $15 to replace it. 15 fucking dollars to replace a single key. That's fucking maddening. Also I don't think this genre of video game is for me. I got gifted the game for free so I guess it's not all bad. 15 fucking dollars though seriously? For a single fucking key on a keyboard? And that was the cheapest I could find too.
Although devour doesn't do anything particularly innovative in the horror genre and relies heavily on jumpscares, I have to admit that it's hilarious to hear your friends panicking over the mic as they run away from the monster. It's frustrating at times and feels a bit unfair, but overall I think the game's multiplayer compensates for the gripes I may have.
probably the most underrated horror game i've played. voip is very fun, the game is ACTUALLY scary, and the different levels make the core gameplay fresh enough for you to beat them without getting bored. while i don't think i'll be coming back to it, if you have 3 people to play with, get this game.
This was probably made to be a "mandatory" party game, cause It's p r e t t y h a r d to try to do it alone. I tried with 3 people it was not that easy already, imagine doing it alone. That kind of game you only play 1 or 2 rounds, cause every round is around 30 min/1h and it gets repetitive fast. You'll play it once in a while with your crew
Personally, I'd prefer to play phasmophobia, but It's an okay game
