Oh, it's... slow. It's real slow. Movement's slow. Combat loads slow. Mario jumps slow. In the dream world, he jumps even slower. It's... slow. Even if a battle lasts one turn, if you measure it in seconds, it's far too many.
The need to utilize the 3DS' 3D functionality likely butchered the game performance-wise. And, like... trying to be more accessible to children than the series already was.
Colors are washed out. 3D environments feel small and flat, because they're 3D. Game's not very funny. It's cute but not interesting.

Now THIS is what I call a Nintendo game.
I think I beat this 15+ times as a kid, not exaggerating. I absolutely LOVED these spinoffs and this is the best one in my opinion.
Everything I said about Inside Story and more. This game is endlessly charming and you can feel this is when Nintendo still cared about their games.
It’s polished, humorous, intuitive, and the dreamscape is so cool to me. Such a fun gimmick to add to an already fun series.
This game is awesome, probably my favorite pure Mario spinoff to date.

I felt the art style wasn't nearly as endearing as it used to be. It really did peak in Inside Story. The 2D promotional art is obviously good as always I mean the in-game graphics and sprite work. The concept seems a lot safer than the previous titles but it's not bad by any means. It takes ideas from them all and mashes them into this. So obviously the framework is good. The luiginary attacks were actually very fun I liked them.
I don't even have a real review for this game.
from what i remember the gameplay was standard with a lot of different bros attacks both the real world and dream world.
The motion controls kinda blew ass but it didn't take away from the game for me all that much. I just wasn't the biggest fan of the story or a lot of the dream world level designs.
Music was also okay? Definitely a lot more obscure tracks that go unnoticed or not remembered.

The first Mario & Luigi for the 3DS, and I think they hit it out of the park. The graphics got a nice new style, and the game uses the improved hardware of the 3DS to its fullest, without increasing loading times.
I will say that the gyroscope and the touch screen don't 100% work like I had hoped and that the overworld seems a bit overfilled with enemies. However, I do enjoy the possibility of visiting past boss battles that have become harder, adding more to the replayability factor!

the tutorialization could be a bit much, the writing maybe isn't quite as good as the others either, and it started to drag just a bit towards the end, but other than that, everything in this game, such as the combat, world design, art style and graphics, etc. is about on par, if not a bit better than the others in the series ive played (SS and BiS as of now)
