This game is fantastic! I was originally apart of the camp which says this game aged bad, and if you feel that way then it is completely valid. However, I think this game just gets better as you play it, so after playing this game on Normal, Hard, and S ranking it on DMD I can safely say this game is really fucking good. On my first playthrough on normal I disliked the enemies, found the combat to be boring, and thought the story was fine. Though, once you keep playing you start to view the enemies as puzzle pieces, and start to view the quickest and most efficient way of destroying your enemies. Some unique ways to defeat enemies include: hitting Sin Scissors' weapon then shooting them in the face instakills them, you can jump on a Shadow's spear and shoot directly at their core, and you can knock Blades down and instakill them with a jump slash. Eventually you get to the point where you're deftly maneuvering the levels hitting your enemies' weakpoints. The game's biggest problem is the bosses are bullshit especially in DMD since they just decide to give them 4x the health. Yes, it isn't as fast as DMC3-5, but I think the game has a lot of charm to it especially the atmosphere I think it probably has the best atmosphere in the series. I also find the story endearing at this point. This game isn't the best in the series, but once you get deep into the game's nuances it truly becomes an enjoyable title.
