emulator crashed on the boss after the helicopter cutscene, i hadn't saved since the start of disc 2
as good a time as any to jump ship!
this game's design is fucking garbage
it's kinda cool before the first boss though! the mgs/re mashup is fun up to that point. But you already knew it was pretty clunky and then you realise you gotta keep doing the shitty motorcycling, you realise the combat is so piss easy you need nothing but the base pistol, you realise the story only gets messier and messier, you realise the vr missions are borked because of the terrible stealth, you realise the "puzzles" become mostly obscure "find this door with no real visual clues to it" or "push this box", you realise it's got SO MUCH time sink-y walking and it's just not fun or rewarding in any way shape or form besides the terribly awkwardly phrased one liners in the cutscenes
and the loading times are balls
All in all this game has basically nothing to say besides the obvious critique of private law enforcement Robocop did better (this even has the Verhoeven-y commercials and all except they're less memorable here!) and after the first 2 or so hours it's just such a chore...
