Better in every way to the first game: the voice acting, locations, puzzle design, optional secrets/collectibles, music, etc. The only thing missing was the commentary bubbles that give insight into the design and development process that went into the first game. I really enjoyed that and was sad to see its absence.
Man, I was enraptured with this game. I just kept replaying the levels over and over, seeing how the scenarios could play out differently using different weapons/tools and messing up the puzzles, just to see if there was any dialogue they recorded for those specific situations. I was more than happy with how much variety is allowed per puzzle. There’s usually not one set solution. It’s kinda like an immersive sim where I kept messing with the systems just to see how it reacted.
Also the object collision is perfect now and their interaction is a lot more responsive. I didn’t realize how bad the flow of liquids were in the original until I replayed it right after. They knocked it out of the park with this one.
