Like a shot of adrenaline. The only negative is that sometimes the walk between bosses might feel a bit boring but the vibes and the soundtrack absolutely carry those sections.
I think the walks between each fight are pretty awesome because they feel like the cherry on top of all the goodness, not to mention the great dialogue that gets you mentally prepared for who your up against next.
