Sharin no Kuni is absolutely one of my favorite character development focused visual novels. It has a very unique setting where the main heroines have to be rehabilitated by the protagonist. The fact that the VN is purely linear with the routes mostly differing for H-scenes and the ending, was something I really enjoyed and think is incredibly underused. It also has solid enough comedy. I wasn't a big fan of Ch 4, and Ch 5 was decent, but chapter 1 through 3 is still one of my favorite stretches in any visual novel.
