This was a game I wasn't aware existed till like close to the end of the year where I saw a Twitter thread talking about cool cheap Eshop games you can buy on the Holiday sale and this was one of them. I had like over $150 of Eshop money and it was $3 so I thought why not give it a try.

This game is a horizontal bullet hell shmup that reminds me somewhat of Deathsmiles. You go through 5 stages saving your friends due to the lack of cereal they had for breakfast. You can choose between three different shots and you have a laser you can use to cancel out shots on screen and do damage. It's about as simple as that.

If you like bullet hell stuff then this one is appealing but the stage design is as basic as a straight line with some obstacles here and there but it's mostly fighting enemies and their bullet patterns. It's pretty enjoyable as usual for me to try to dodge it all and while I'm not good at it, it's fine because I'm still having fun.

There are also some mini bosses and main bosses to fight and you need to be very good at these kind of games to survive without continues because I sure can't. They are still pretty fun to bullet cancel when they go into their pinch mode. Just make sure to keep some going into one.

I have a couple of gripes with this game however. One problem is that I wish it had more weapon variety, it seems pretty limited to me personally. I kind of wish the stages were a little more unique outside of theming but that's probably just me. I don't know if it's because I recently played 5 different versions of Parodius but I wish you could move faster, it feels so slow at times but maybe that was done to have it be easier to dodge.

The game graphically is really cool looking. I loveeee the colors used here, it's so pretty. The character designs are pretty great too. It's easily an A+ in this area. The music too, omg the music is just so cool! Like guys they even went hard on the stage clear music like that's how good the OST is. Might be in my top 10 for shmup OSTs.

This game is cheap and it's fun. Really glad I got this and you should all be trying it too unless you just don't like shmups then probably don't but then why are you reading this? It may not be Deathsmiles for me in terms of being a masterpiece but I still liked the experience and will definitely replay someday.
