Probably more fun with a friend but I found the game kind of boring. It's a lot like those Taito single screen Arcade games like The Fairyland Story or Bubble Bobble. I just can't really enjoy myself in this game, it feels kind of clumsy with the gameplay mechanics.
The game does have good cutscenes and they are pretty similar in quality to the ones seen in Valis: The Fantasm Soldier which is something Riot also worked on for the PC Engine. While some might get a kick from the gameplay, the game just feels the same most of the time with the same ball throwing over and over but doesn't have the same thoughtful level design as Taito's stuff. At least the background scrolling is pretty good in some levels. The music is also good but it gets a bit too repetitive for me with how long worlds go for. Give it a try if you're curious but bring a friend with you.
The last thing I want to say is if you look in the manual, you'll find a picture of the title screen and the copyright is incorrect saying "Teleneenet Japan" it must be a beta version because it's not there when you start the game. Also I'll give the devs this, thank you for letting me choose the P2 character in a single player game without controller 2 shenanigans though of course the one time this happens, player 2 isn't the girl character. Just my luck...
