Amazing. The dungeon structure/combat hasn’t aged all that well imo and some of the dialogue is clearly outdated by today’s standards, but overall this was really enjoyable and easily stands up against the much newer and more polished Persona 5

The characters themselves aren’t quite as fulfilling, and some of the minor social links especially aren't satisfying at all, but the main group dynamic as a whole surpasses that of the Phantom Thieves. The party members are still fun and the story is great, so while it could never hope to be as smooth or stylish as its successor, Persona 4 Golden’s overall quality doesn’t feel very much like a step down at all.
