Very cute visuals, and has a great atmosphere, but isn't super deep as a game.

There are some meaningful planning decisions to make at the start of each island, but once you decide where everything is going to go, you're more at the mercy of what buildings the game hands you, rather than any sort of turn-to-turn decision making. Coupled with how arbitrary these decisions become once you take the classism pill, the game essentially plays itself.

One might be able to interpret a deeper message on the inevitability and/or benefit of a class-separated society, but I feel the game is simply to abstract to say that by itself.
