Starting today we can order coffee to-go at the Roost! Funded another shop at the Collective—Saharah's!
It was the Sunday Summer Fireworks Festival and we had the entire crew over for it! Got to see custom fireworks, have coffee together at the Roost and snap fun pics~ All in total there was six of us which is the most I've ever played at the same time with which was neat. It was a really great time.

I've decided to abandon this island. I just... haven't been playing in months and when I went back to it today I just realized that I had no attachment to any thing on the island, not what I'd built, not the villagers. I've decided to reset again, for the last time, and try once more. This time I'm not saving anything from my old islands, it will be a clean slate. I'm hoping this will help. We'll see.

It's my birthday! Flo grabbed me in the morning to come to a surprise birthday party she, Rod and Raddle were throwing. They weren't who I was hoping would be involved in the birthday, since I feel closer to Grizzly and Avery at this point, but they are actually my first three villagers ever on Dominia so it was really nice to see them there.

Designed a little outdoor kitchen area. Definitely not a permanent fixture on my island, but with all the cooking I'm doing I thought it'd be nice to have an actual little outdoor work station instead of just a random kitchen item floating randomly by itself. Also commissioned a new incline and moved one of my villager's homes up the mountain. Finally starting to make some island development happening after weeks of just enjoying the new content.

Shino officially moves in! It took a loooong time, but we finally met gay fishionista CJ on our island! Made a tidy 1,210,000 bells from upselling him fish from my storage. Still hoping to score his or Flick's amiibo cards so I can make them a nice romantic vacation home on the archipelago.

We finally meet Label, the fashion designer sister of Mabel and Sabel! Together we put together a vacation lewk and unlocked Labelle Socks for tomorrow. Over at Harv's Island, Kicks opened up his shop in the plaza! This is our second to last shop. Our biggest large spike in the stalk market yet let us come out with some tidy profits, decided to use a big chunk of it to upgrade my house storage! Following the Animal Crossing Direct I decided to reset my island and begin anew leading up to the final big update and the DLC. I've just been burnt out on the game in a lot of ways and I felt a fresh start was the best way to capitalize on the excitement I felt after the direct. I knew it would be nice to play again and have a reason to fish and catch bugs and do turnips and all of that stuff.
So, with a heavy heart I said goodbye to Vesperia and the beloved villagers I came to love there (especially Dizzy who was with me from the very beginning to the very end; I hope our paths cross again!). And I'm sad to see the incredible amount of work I put into the island go, but I just couldn't shake the feeling that I needed a fresh start.
Long live Vesperia.

Need a break. Have constantly been doing five minute check-ins with the game for weeks and I think what I really need is just a full on break from it until I really /want/ to play again. I have a lot I still want to do with my island before I really feel finished with the game, but right now there just isn't a lot pulling me in to play over other games. It's National Museum Day and we finally took a tour through our 100% completed Museum as we did the Stamp Rally! It's really beautiful seeing it finished, although I do miss working towards it. We sure have come along way since this event last year.

A villager from my boyfriend's old island has moved in—Hans! One of my villagers had moved out and I decided I'd leave it up to the RNG Gods for his replacement and I ended up getting an old villager of my boyfriend's. I'm kinda bummed it wasn't a True Random, but still kinda neat. Unsure if I'll try again the next time someone moves out or if maybe once you've played multiplayer the game always prioritizes other players old villagers for spots... I'm not sure yet.

It's the 1 Year Anniversary of our island and of Animal Crossing New Horizons! I've been a fan of the series for a really long time and have always talked about wanting to play a whole year of the game but never even came close until now. It's really surreal. In honour of it being the one year anniversary, I also donated the final piece of art to the Museum. Now, my Museum is 100% Complete, another accomplishment I never even got close to achieving in past titles. What a wild ride it's been.

It's MAR10 Day! I had a bunch of friends over to come check out my Super Mario 35th Anniversary Themed House and Island Decorations, including my warp pipe maze! It was a hit! Now to finally rest on the decorating until Cherry Blossom season.
