Unfortunately, I've been very bad about keeping up detailed notes on my play sessions! After getting through the opening hours, we both kind of just settled into just exploring and playing around. BF got obsessed with The Depths in particular, while for my part I got obsessed with wells and caves lol. Neither of us have started any real story, with a couple exceptions.

I've seen all the Tears and have reclaimed the Master Sword. It kind of just happened, lmao. I also accidentally did the Spirit Temple??? But other than a little sequence breaking, I've stayed out of it.

Until today! As I was trying to find the Thunder Dragon for a quest I ended up going to the Gerudo Desert and before I knew it I was getting involved in the Main Story. Gerudo Desert was the last of the regions I did for BOTW so it was kind of nice having it be the surprise start of the Main Story sections for me in TOTK (I figured Goron or Rito would be first for me). Still haven't finished it yet, but probably will tomorrow!

Another thing, now that I've played more, I have a bit of a better understanding of what is worth tracking and not. I redeemed all the Bubbuls I had for the quest line and now I'm just left with task of collecting all that remain, which for me, was 101. I was going to remove the Bubbul tracker, but now we have a new hard number to reach so it's back! Conversely, I've learned what Sage's Wills are for and they probably don't make sense to keep tracking? I don't think? So I'll remove them for now and instead keep track of how many Sages I've found.

Launch Day! A New Adventure Begins~

For this first time playthrough I'm doing something a little different and playing the game alongside my boyfriend almost exclusively. It's going to be interesting to see how it goes and what the sense of discovery is like with another person, but I'm glad to have the chance to make this first time playthrough something special by doing it with him~ :p

With the midnight launch we didn't do a whole lot this session, just started the tutorial area. We decided that it would be alright during the coming work week of ours if we played solo here and there until our weekend when we could play together so long as we stayed in the tutorial area.

So that means three shrines to find! Managed to score our first one in Ultrahand before deciding to end it for the night.
