I really didn't think I'd pick this up. Part II had left such a bad taste in my mouth when it originally came out in 2020. I had such a love for these characters that felt like they had been stepped on.

Now with 4 years since the original release and the initial shock of Joel's death having passed, I really enjoyed this game.

It is as compelling as it is brutal, rough and miserable. I'm happy I gave it another chance, and I'm excited for Part III.

That being said, this game did not need a remaster. It was already one of the best looking titles I've played.
