While visually stunning and well made it’s not a very good “game”. A lot of the gameplay boils down to holding the left stick forward. The combat is really basic and it didn’t click with me because of how limited it is. It’s always a one on one fight, where you’re limited in your moveset.

That being said, it’s a remarkably crafted experience. The animation and acting work in Hellblade 2 is top tier. Ultimately, It unfortunately feels like just a tech demo for the Unreal Engine.
