One of the best RPGs I have ever played. The combat system is superb, I have had the most enjoyable single player fights out of any game full stop. The ability to climb on the enemies creates an interesting new layer to action RPG combat. The enemy behaviors as well aren't bested by any other action RPG, the attacks are interesting and make you adapt. Soundtrack is fantastic as well which helps immerse you in the well thought out fantasy world. Only gripe I have is some repetitiveness which is a given in RPGs and the story outside of the main through line of the Dragon and Arisen is pretty bad. Characters in story outside of yourself and your pawns are flat and boring. Ending is fantastic although. The Bitterback Isle expansion also improves the combat even further with more challenging fights. Fighting Daimon is a similarly a great finale as fighting the Dragon. Overall a masterpiece only hampered by some minor issues which don't affect the final outcome, which is both a great game and thought provoking experience.
