I still play this a fair amount, but I feel like I should note that what I get out of this game isn't really what was intended. See, I love wrestling, but I don't love WWE - my tastes are more puro-oriented - so the function this game provides is more of a framework with which I can download community-made 90s AJPW CAWs and play with those. But it is a solid framework - I didn't play the games between 2K16 and this, but with this it really feels like they got the formula down with regards for what they were going for. My only real gripe with the game itself (that is, not counting "I wish I had more than 100 CAW slots". or "oh I wish they'd had included a Tiger Driver '91, ganso bomb, wrist-clutch exploder suplex, etc") is that the opponent AI can feel like it falls apart a little if you're trying to do really epic matches. (I often find myself breaking my own pinfalls around the 35-minute mark.)
