Even with it's foibles and problems, this is without question the best sim racing experience you can get on consoles. The amount of interesting content in terms of cars and tracks without DLC is dizzying - and the expansions add so much more to round out the edges. Couple that with a great career mode putting you in the shoes of a driver with the world at your feet, it's still a wonderful proposition even now.
