Played on the Evercade Duke Nukem Collection 2 cart.

As far as third person ps1 action games that pretty rip off Tomb Raider go, this was a lot of fun. Silly action and violence coupled with a bit of exploring and a nice variety of levels and a surprisingly great atmospheric score, this is a much improved version of Time to Kill.

The controls and interface has been tightened up, to the point where it makes the previous game feel even jankier. Obviously, its outdated views, misogyny, stereotypes etc bring it down, and I can't help but see Duke as nothing more than an ageing gym bro Benny Hill, but it was still full of daft one liners and great action.

I remember enjoying this one back when it first came out. I think I picked it up for dirt cheap as it was around the time the ps2 was coming out so PS1 games were getting marked down everywhere. I was pleasantly surprised by how it played back then, and once you're used to the controls, it still plays well today.

A fun time, only brought down by how 90s it is.
