I've finished this in about 3 or 4 sessions. The first two were great, a fantastic balance of scares and action, but it feels like the final quarter you're just being ushered through a series of moments with loads of monsters. It's still a lot fun.

Not sure if I prefer this to the original, but it it certainly starts off a lot better. Some really horrid monsters are introduced in this one as well. Those little kids are nasty. The noises as you pick them off are extremely unsettling but you've got no choice as it's you or them.

I played this on Series X and the upscale job is tremendous. It could easily pass as an Xbox One game at times. Really good looking.
