What a game. I beat the original version this time last year. I've been meaning to go back to do new game + but never got around to it. Then I got this for the Switch for Xmas and I couldn't wait to get stuck in. 40 odd hours later and Gwyn, Lord of Cinder is no more. Then everything went on fire and the credits rolled. Might have got the bad ending as I seem to remember something about the cycle repeating itself but with me as the lord this time when I first beat the game.
Ah well, I had a great time getting there. Although the Switch version doesn't have the lovely frame rate of the more powerful consoles, it looks just as good. Anor Londo never looked better. And some of the monsters and ghouls were a lot more distinguishable too.
Nothing more to add really, it's one of the most rewarding videogame experiences I've ever... Er... Experienced. I'd love to dive straight into NG+, but the backlog beckons. Maybe a little later in the year when I've been totally side tracked from trying to clear my currently playing list. Or when I need to scratch that Dark Souls itch.
