Ace Combat 5 builds off of the mechanics introduced in Ace Combat 04 and provides a larger roster of planes as well. While the story drags a bit long, it is a mostly entertaining and coherent narrative. I feel the game is the lesser praised of the PS2 "Holy Trinity" of Ace Combat games, but it is worth playing for sure. It is also well worth checking out for newer fans who may have only played Ace Combat 7!
