I really need to revisit this game to see how I feel about it now. I really enjoyed it at the time, but my feelings on it have soured over time. I'm not a fan of the shift away from turn-based combat.

The story gets... serious? In a way that feels like it was written by one of those YouTube comments you see below the final boss theme for any Mario game that Yoko Shimomura composed on. Is this comparison too niche? Somebody must understand what I mean.

The game DOES have some pretty memorable bits, though. The main one being the chapter with Francis, the chameleon that's just a big mid-2000s internet posting goon.
