Its good that they added lots of new mechanics to keep things fresh, but there is no point in looking around with the cameras in this game, besides winding up the music box.
FNAF 1 forced you to use the cameras to stop Freddy from moving. But in FNAF2, which imo is the most difficult FNAF game, the only camera you ever need to look at the the prize corner camera, exploring the facility is otherwise pointless and a disadvantage in an already hard game.
