Miserable. Far and away the worst Souls title to date. You can feel the lack of Miyazaki, because whoever they put in charge here obviously doesn't understand what makes DS compelling or enjoyable. The interconnected world aspect falls flat due to nonsensical overlapping space, bad level design, and worse enemy placement. Most of the bosses are thoroughly unenjoyable to fight due to the absolutely laughable hitboxes, and normal enemies don't fair much better, making the overall combat an unfair slog. I don't know how they fucked it up this bad.
