The only reason I'm giving this 4 stars is the snappy action and the decently-aged visuals. Otherwise, the generally incoherent story drags this game down a LOT. I often had no clue why I was pursuing the stated objective of each level beyond "we're fighting the enemy!" It's obviously very anime, for good and bad, but I still could have used, like a codex or something.
